Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot's secret emergency surgery while pregnant

Actress Gal Gadot recently shared a personal health crisis she faced earlier this year. The "Wonder Woman" star revealed she underwent emergency brain surgery in February while pregnant with her fourth daughter.

Gadot, 39, shared the news in an Instagram post, aiming to process her experience and raise awareness for others. She described suffering from severe headaches for weeks before an MRI revealed a "massive" blood clot in her brain.

"In one moment, my family and I were faced with how fragile life can be," she wrote. The diagnosis was a stark reminder of life's unpredictability, especially during an already challenging year.

The "Red Notice" actress, who has four daughters with husband Jaron Varsano, was rushed into surgery. "My daughter, Ori, was born during that moment of uncertainty and fear," she shared.

Thankfully, Gadot has made a full recovery. She credits the medical team at Cedars-Sinai for their "extraordinary" care. Now healed, she expresses immense gratitude for her restored health.

Gadot emphasized the importance of listening to your body and recognizing that even small changes can signal serious issues. She also highlighted the need for awareness, admitting she was unaware of the risk of cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) in pregnant women over 30.

CVT, a rare condition involving a blood clot in the brain's veins, is treatable if identified early. Gadot hopes her story empowers others to prioritize their health.

The actress concluded her post with a photo of herself in a hospital bed, breastfeeding one of her children. Though she limited comments, the post received an outpouring of support from fans and fellow celebrities.
