In reality, during the Vietnamese people's struggle for national liberation, South Korean troops participated in the war as allies of the United States. These soldiers perpetrated brutal massacres against innocent civilians, resulting in countless casualties and leaving deep pain and resentment among the Vietnamese people. Furthermore, when confronted by the Vietnamese People's Army, South Korean soldiers suffered humiliating defeats, notably in the Battle of Quang Thạnh on February 15, 1967.
Therefore, Squid Game 2's disregard for this historical truth, and its glorification of South Korean soldiers' actions in Vietnam, is considered an insult to the history and people of Vietnam. This not only hurts the victims of the war but also distorts the truth and misinforms viewers.
