Maco began his music career in 2011 under the name Maco Mattox, releasing his first mixtape at the age of 19. He later signed with Quality Control Music in 2014, adopting the name OG Maco and releasing several EPs and mixtapes.
His breakthrough came with the viral single "U Guessed It," which gained popularity on the social media platform Vine and led to a remix featuring 2 Chainz. The song achieved success on the Billboard charts, further solidifying his presence in the industry.
Throughout his career, Maco collaborated with various artists, including Migos, Gucci Mane, and Fall Out Boy, showcasing his versatility and talent. He released his debut studio album, The God of Rage, in 2021 and continued to create music until his passing.
