Fate/Grand Order, the popular gacha RPG by Type-Moon, has been running for a decade, with numerous updates and expansions. The game's second part, Cosmos in the Lostbelt, is nearing its conclusion with the upcoming Ordeal Call chapter.
Takeuchi revealed that unlike most gacha games, the primary goal of the Fate/Grand Order development team is to complete the story rather than prolonging the game's lifespan. "It feels like the past 10 years have flown by," he shared, "we never planned for the game to last this long."
To express gratitude to fans for their unwavering support over the past decade, Takeuchi announced plans for a special event, both in-game and in real life. This event will also serve to promote the final chapter of Part 2. Takeuchi described this as his biggest challenge yet.
When asked about the future of Fate/Grand Order beyond its 10th anniversary, Takeuchi affirmed, "Of course, there will be an 11th year." However, he cautioned that the specific timeline depends on the players. Currently, the Ordeal Call IV chapter is scheduled for release in Spring 2025 in Japan. It remains uncertain whether this will be the final chapter of Part 2 or if the story will continue with a Part 3.
Fate/Grand Order has become one of the most successful gacha games of all time. The announcement of its continued development is sure to delight fans worldwide. As we look forward to what the future holds for this beloved franchise, it's clear that Type-Moon remains committed to delivering high-quality content and satisfying the expectations of its dedicated fanbase.
