The Epic Games Store is giving away another free game today, and this time it's Kill Knight, a hyper-aggressive top-down shooter from developer and publisher PlaySide. If you're looking for something that's a bit like Doom meets Diablo 4, then this is definitely worth checking out.
Kill Knight is an isometric, ultra-violent hack-and-slack/shooter hybrid with gnarly retro stylings and a propulsive soundtrack. It's a challenging and enjoyably arcadey action game that was just released in October of this year. In the game, you are tasked with hunting down the last living angel and turning hordes of monsters into gooey stains on the floor while chasing leaderboard spots.
Since it's so new, Kill Knight is still receiving regular support from PlaySide. The latest update, which was released on December 18, added fresh weapons, equipment, and a lore codex.
You can grab Kill Knight from the Epic Games Store for free until tomorrow, December 29, at 8am PT / 4pm GMT. After that, it will be replaced by another free PC game.
