Meghan Markle postpones Netflix show to support wildfire victims

The premiere of Meghan Markle's new Netflix show, "With Love, Meghan," has been delayed until March due to the devastating wildfires currently raging in Southern California.

The Duchess of Sussex requested the postponement to focus on the needs of those impacted by the fires.

The show, which released its first trailer on January 2nd, features Markle embracing a domestic lifestyle, cooking with celebrity chef Roy Choi and gardening, while also highlighting her friendships with celebrities like Mindy Kaling.

The wildfires, fueled by strong winds and dry conditions, have caused widespread destruction, burning over 12,000 structures and claiming 24 lives. The Los Angeles County Fire Department has halted filming permits in affected areas, impacting numerous productions, including "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Happy's Place" starring Reba McEntire, and "Suits L.A."

Beyond production delays, the fires have also resulted in the loss of homes for many celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, and "General Hospital" star Cameron Mathison. Actress Jennifer Garner shared her grief over losing a friend in the fires and expressed her desire to help the affected communities.

The postponement of "With Love, Meghan" highlights the widespread impact of the California wildfires, extending beyond property damage to affect the entertainment industry and the lives of those involved.
