Manchester United star turns down Como

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is at the center of a transfer saga as several top European clubs circle. The England international has rejected a move to Serie A side Como, stating that it would be a step backward in his career.

Rashford has also ruled out a move to Tottenham or any other club not playing in the Champions League this season. Barcelona, PSG, AC Milan, and Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs interested in signing the 27-year-old.

The player's brother and agent, Dwayne, is reportedly in Italy to discuss a potential move to AC Milan. However, any deal would depend on whether the interested clubs are willing to match Rashford's hefty £325,000-a-week wages.

Manchester United are open to selling Rashford if they receive a suitable offer. The forward has publicly expressed his desire to leave the club last month. "For me personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge," Rashford said.

Rashford's form has dipped since signing a new contract in the summer of 2023. He has been dropped from Manchester United's starting lineup in recent matches due to a lack of effort in training. Manager Erik ten Hag has made it clear that Rashford's future at the club depends on his attitude and commitment.

Como, meanwhile, will turn their attention to other targets. The Serie A club is considering signing former Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli after inviting him for a trial.
