Lainey Wilson says "Yes!" to NFL's Devlin Hodges
Country music star Lainey Wilson and former football player Devlin "Duck" Hodges are engaged after a four-year relationship.
Wilson announced the news on Instagram February 12, sharing photos of the couple kissing and showing off her engagement ring. Her caption, "4x4xU forever," referenced her 2024 single "4x4xU," which she performed at the CMA Awards with Hodges in the audience.
The couple began dating in 2021 while Hodges was playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their relationship faced challenges when he signed with the Los Angeles Rams, as their lives were "going in different directions," Wilson said in an August interview with Apple Music 1.
Despite the obstacles, their relationship thrived. Wilson described Hodges as her "biggest cheerleader" and a "good person" who understands the importance of pursuing dreams.
Although they are both public figures, the couple prefers to keep their relationship private. In a May interview with Billboard, Wilson explained that they want to "keep that as sacred as we possibly can."
