On Tuesday’s episode, Schwimmer appeared alongside Consuelos and Ripa to promote his role in the new season of Goosebumps. Consuelos took the opportunity to quiz Schwimmer on Friends trivia, leading to a surprise clip from the hit sitcom.
Consuelos asked Schwimmer about his knowledge of Friends trivia before playing a scene from the 2001 season 7 episode titled "The One with Chandler's Dad." In the clip, Consuelos made a brief appearance as a police officer who pulls over Ross (Schwimmer) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston).
"How is your Friends trivia? Do you think you're really good at it?" Consuelos asked before the scene played. Schwimmer was taken aback, exclaiming, "Oh my God!" when the clip ended.
Ripa couldn't resist making a lighthearted comment about the scene. "The sexual chemistry between you two was palpable in that scene," she joked as the audience laughed and cheered. Consuelos, playing along, quickly moved the show to a commercial break.
This playful banter isn't the first time Ripa has teased her husband. In November, after announcing a steamy ad campaign featuring Consuelos, Ripa showed the audience a nearly nude photo of him, which she had saved on her phone.
