Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finalize their divorce settlement

Neither party has requested spousal support, as outlined in their divorce settlement agreement.

Lopez initiated divorce proceedings in August, coinciding with the anniversary of their wedding celebration in Riceboro, Georgia, in 2022. The couple had first tied the knot a month earlier during a private ceremony in Las Vegas.

The separation followed reports suggesting the two were living apart. Lopez had also canceled her summer tour to focus on her family, and the couple listed their Beverly Hills property for sale.

Lopez and Affleck’s union came two decades after their first encounter on the set of the romantic comedy Gigli, where they portrayed criminals forced to work together. Their on-screen connection blossomed into a real-life friendship and eventually a romance.

In the years that followed, both went on to marry other people and start families.

However, fans of “Bennifer” celebrated when the pair rekindled their relationship in 2021, dubbing it “Bennifer 2.0.”

Even the couple expressed their excitement: “One thing I truly appreciate about this chapter of my life is how everything has been approached in a way that feels genuine,” Affleck shared with The Wall Street Journal in December 2021. “My life now reflects not just who I want to be but who I believe I truly am — not perfect, but someone striving to be honest, authentic, and accountable.”

The couple’s first engagement dates back to November 2002, when Affleck proposed with a custom-made 6.1-carat pink diamond ring by Harry Winston. He also made an appearance in the music video for Lopez’s hit single “Jenny from the Block,” which offered a satirical take on the intense paparazzi attention their relationship received.

Despite plans to marry in September 2003, they postponed the wedding just days before the ceremony, citing the overwhelming media scrutiny surrounding the event.

By January 2004, Lopez and Affleck officially ended their relationship for the first time.
