Honkai: Star Rail confirms castorice as playable character, following 3.2 update
HoYoverse has confirmed that Castorice, a supporting character previously featured in Honkai: Star Rail's Amphoreus storyline, will become a playable character after the game's 3.2 update.
Players first encounter Castorice in a unique scenario, where she guides them through a particularly dangerous area. The recent announcement confirms her status as a 5-star character. In combat, she will deal Quantum damage to enemies. Castorice will follow the Path of Remembrance, similar to Aglaea and the new Trailblazer variation added in version 3.0.
The next two playable characters slated for release in Honkai: Star Rail are Mydei and Tribbie (Tribios). Both were teased for version 3.1 following HoYoverse's 3.0 Special Program announcement. They also made their initial appearances during the 3.0 Trailblaze Mission, alongside Castorice. A showcase demonstrating both characters' abilities is scheduled for February 15, 2025, at 5:30 AM (GMT+7).
The first banner character introduced in Amphoreus was Aglaea. She is Remembrance Path wielder, and was the featured 5-star character untill Febuary 25th, 2025. This makes Castorice the fourth playable character from Amphoreus to join the game's roster.
Honkai: Star Rail is currently available on PS5, PC, and mobile devices. The Special Program for version 3.1 is set to air on February 15, 2025, at 5:30 AM (GMT+7). Version 3.1 is expected to launch on February 26, 2025. A release date for version 3.2 has not yet been announced.
