Hannah Berner addresses controversial comments about Blake Lively in recent Netflix special

Comedian Hannah Berner, known for her recent Netflix special "Torching 2024," has clarified her stance on actress Blake Lively following a joke made during her performance.

In the special, Berner used a derogatory term while referencing Lively's rumored "mean girl" persona and alleged feud with "It Ends With Us" co-star and director Justin Baldoni.

However, Berner's joke was recorded prior to Lively's sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni, in which she accuses him of orchestrating a smear campaign to damage her reputation. Baldoni has denied these allegations.

Following news of the lawsuit, Berner took to Instagram to express her support for Lively, stating, "My joke in the Netflix roast was filmed before news of the lawsuit. To be 100 percent clear, I support Blake."

The comedian's set also included jokes targeting other celebrities, such as Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's breakup.

Since filing her lawsuit, Lively has received public support from several colleagues, including "It Ends With Us" co-stars Brandon Sklenar and Jenny Slate.

Sklenar encouraged his followers to read about Lively's legal filing, while Slate praised Lively's character and condemned the alleged attacks on her reputation.

Baldoni, through his lawyer, has vehemently denied Lively's accusations, calling them false and an attempt to salvage her own reputation.
