Eminem and 50 Cent hint at potential collaborative album

Eminem has hinted at a possible joint album with fellow rap icon, 50 Cent.

During a recent appearance on SiriusXM's Whoo's House Podcast, the "Lose Yourself" rapper was questioned about the likelihood of creating a full album with 50 Cent. Eminem responded positively, stating, "That would be great. I mean, I think that we just got to stop bulls—ting and just do it."

He further emphasized his openness to the idea by adding, "I would never say it's not possible, s---!"

The two rappers have a long history of collaboration, with their careers intertwining since their rise to fame in the late '90s and early 2000s. Eminem signed 50 Cent to his Shady Records label in 2002 after being impressed by his mixtape "Guess Who's Back?". That same year, 50 Cent contributed four songs to the "8 Mile" soundtrack. Eminem then took on the role of executive producer for 50 Cent's 2003 debut album "Get Rich or Die Tryin'", and was featured on two of its tracks, "Patiently Waiting" and "Don't Push Me."

Their collaborative efforts continued with numerous other songs, including "Encore," "Hail Mary," "Gatman and Robin," "Crack a Bottle," "The Re-Up," "You Don't Know," "Jimmy Crack Corn," "Peep Show," "Never Enough," "My Life," "Is This Love ('09)," and "Psycho."

Eminem and 50 Cent have also lent their talents to tracks by other artists, such as Obie Trice's "We All Die One Day," Lloyd Banks' "Warrior, Pt. 2," Ed Sheeran's "Remember the Name," and more recently, Snoop Dogg's "Gunz n Smoke."

Their partnership extends beyond the studio, with 50 Cent joining Eminem on stage for live performances, notably on The Home & Home Tour in 2010 and at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2019, where Eminem was a co-headliner.

In 2021, their collaboration took a new turn when 50 Cent, directing an episode of his Starz series "BMF", cast Eminem in a cameo role as White Boy Rick. 50 Cent shared with Entertainment Weekly that working with Eminem felt natural and that having him on the show was an honor that made the episode special.

Last year, 50 Cent revealed plans to develop a "modern version" of "8 Mile" for television, with both rappers involved in the project. He expressed his belief in the importance of the project for Eminem's legacy and for audiences to understand its significance.

In a lighter moment during the Whoo's House interview, Eminem also discussed his admiration for Mike Tyson, conceding that unlike Jake Paul, he wouldn't last in a boxing match against the legendary fighter. He humorously added that he would be willing to fight Mike Tyson only if he could avoid getting hit.
