Initially, Lucatiel is reserved and distant toward those who venture into Drangleic. However, as players journey alongside her, they discover a kind soul beneath her armor and stoic mask. Yet, her fate is not without tragedy: Lucatiel gradually succumbs to memory loss due to the undead curse. She forgets her purpose in Drangleic and becomes weary of her predetermined destiny.
Nevertheless, before departing the world, Lucatiel simply asks that her name be remembered. A simple yet profound request in this desolate land. Lucatiel's mask reappears in Dark Souls 3, carrying the tale of her determination to preserve her identity through this final plea.

The darkness in Dark Souls can be interpreted as humanity's primal instincts and untamed nature. However, the story of the Furtive Pygmy offers a drastically different perspective.
