Neymar, Messi, and Suárez formed a formidable attacking trio at Barcelona, leading the club to a historic treble in 2015. Neymar's time at Barcelona ended in 2017 when he joined Paris St Germain for a record-breaking $230 million.
In an interview with CNN, Neymar stated, “Obviously, playing again with Messi and Suárez would be incredible. They are my friends, we still speak to each other. It would be interesting to revive this trio. I’m happy at Al-Hilal, I’m happy in Saudi Arabia, but who knows. Football is full of surprises.”
Neymar's time at Al-Hilal has been hampered by injuries, limiting him to only seven appearances since his €90 million transfer from PSG in 2023. His contract with the Saudi Arabian club is set to expire in June.
During his six seasons at PSG, Neymar scored an impressive 118 goals and achieved significant domestic success. However, the Champions League title eluded him, prompting his move to the Saudi Pro League.
Neymar explained that a move to Inter Miami was not possible when he left PSG due to the transfer window being closed in the United States. He emphasized that the project offered by Al-Hilal was the best option for him and his family.
As Brazil's all-time leading scorer with 79 goals, Neymar remains determined to compete in the 2026 World Cup. Despite Brazil's current fifth-place standing in the South American qualifiers, Neymar is eager to contribute and help his country secure a spot in the tournament.
Neymar, who has been sidelined since October 2023 with a knee injury, expressed his unwavering commitment to the national team, stating, “I will try, I want to be there. I will do everything I can to be part of the national team. I know this be my last World Cup, my last shot, my last chance and I will do everything I can to play in it.”
