The Puerto Rican artist, known for his chart-topping hits, recently released his sixth studio album, "Debí Tirar Más Fotos." This album marks his first release since his reported breakup with Kendall Jenner in September.
In a recent interview with TIME, the artist, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, revealed that his music often draws inspiration from personal experiences, saying, "I have written songs inspired by people that people don't have a f---ing clue who they are." He further explained that the meaning of a song can be multifaceted, reflecting themes of absence, love, and loss.
"Debí Tirar Más Fotos" explores themes of heartbreak and longing, but Martínez remains tight-lipped about whether specific songs, like the title track, are directly influenced by his relationship with Jenner.
The pair first sparked romance rumors in February 2023, following Martínez's seven-year relationship with jewelry designer Gabriela Berlingeri. Jenner, on the other hand, was previously involved with Phoenix Suns player Devin Booker.
Despite their reported split in December 2023, PEOPLE magazine reported in May that Jenner and Martínez had rekindled their romance. A source revealed that Martínez was eager to reunite with Jenner.
Martínez, a global music icon, and Jenner, a prominent figure in the fashion industry, have garnered significant attention for their relationship.
Recently, Martínez received eight nominations at the 2024 Latin Grammys, winning the award for Best Reggaeton Performance for his song "Black Dog," featuring Colombian artist Feid.
